Update table via AMDP exit planning functions ?

Hi All -

I am working on BPC 10.1 embedded planning, and

I have exit AMDP planning function to calculate. I found that AMDP planning function failed due I have Data Slice type exit protecting the corresponding data.

The AMDP planning function is to calculate all data, hence, though data slice protected the data, the data should be able to get calculated & updated as well.

I have a thought to have data slice flag table to turn off & on data slice.

I have AMDP planning function to update the flag in data slice flag table. However , the issue is AMDP planning functions keep failing due the insert update SQL Syntax to update data slice flag table is not allowed.

The questions are

1. is it possible for us to use AMDP planning functions to update table?

2. what is the pre requisite for us to use AMDP to update the table?
