I have a scenario where I will have to add a field which is in reference to the material number and will contain only the first 7 chars of the MATNR field. I have a multiprovider to which this has to be added.
This is what I have done. Created a DSO with the Material Number as the key and then the New field with 7 chars as a data field. Then executed a transformation from 0MATERIAL to this DSO and converting the Material Number to 7 digits in the new field with the help of a routine.
Added this to the existing multiprovider and the new field doesn't show any data when I do display for the multiprovider though the new DSo has that field with data. I hope I was clear with the query. Can you give some ideas as to how to handle this scenario ? Will appreciate any help.
